Wedding photography at The Sebel Resort & Spa Hawkesbury Valley is not a new experience for us but it is the first time we have been there since we started blogging so we figured it was a good idea to showcase Eleonor and Daniel’s wedding day which we covered on December 2.

The Sebel Resort & Spa Hawkesbury Valley is located in Windsor (in Sydney’s west) at the foothills of the Blue Mountains and enjoys magnificent sweeping views across the lake located in the grounds and further west towards the mountains themselves.

With the well known and picturesque Hawkesbury River only a five minute drive from The Sebel to seemed silly not to whisk the bridal party away for a few minutes to use the banks and scenery surrounding the river – despite the overcast day photographic opportunity was everywhere  you looked.

Eleonor and Daniel had their wedding ceremony take place next to the lake located on the grounds of The Sebel, not too shabby at all and certainly a magnificent backdrop for us to work with.

Here is a different take on the traditional shot of the bride getting ready for her big day. The traditional image is always loved but we believe every day is different (let alone every wedding day) so for us it is about telling the story through photographs that are personal to Eleonor and Daniel, in this case silhouetting Eleonor with the view through the window to the backyard – simple yet personal and impossible to recreate anywhere else.

Do you think our bride and groom are happy? All day these smiles never left there faces, it was fantastic. We cannot remember what the hecklers in the background were calling out.

As is our practice the dusk light is never to be missed given the truly unique photographic opportunities that exist during that time and wedding photography at The Sebel Hawkesbury Valley offered us plenty of original compositions with its tall trees, well maintained gardens, lake and panoramic views looking west towards the Blue Mountains.

One thing wedding photography at The Sebel Hawkesbury Valley (or any other venue) can never generate artificially is the love, friendship and interaction that takes place between the bride and groom and their wedding guests on the day and during Eleonor and Daniel’s wedding there were so, so many of these moments to capture. It was just brilliant and everything we love about wedding photography is summed up in the two images shown above.

Whilst December 2 didn’t provide us with a classic fiery skied sunset there is always drama in the sky if you know what to look for thus ensuring your wedding photography at The Sebel Hawkesbury Valley is a truly original and unique experience.

Eleonor’s wedding dress was magnificent and with a little bit of bling on the dress and in her necklace and ear rings she looked amazing.
