For some families’ professional portrait photography is not something they shop for every second week and understandably there are some common questions families like to ask with regards to how it all works.

This also answers the question of “who will be our photographer?” We have regularly provided multiple professional photographers however unless otherwise arranged Dale, the owner of DC Images will be your photographer.
This will depend upon the shoot/your requirements but generally speaking on the day it would be one photographer and possibly one assistant.
Our services work on a first in, first served basis and keep in mind we do have bookings made months in advance. That being said with anyone who has come in to see us at the studio we will try to contact them should another family ask about their planned shoot date, in other words we try to offer you first dibs wherever we can.
A quick ten-minute chat over the telephone is enough for some however we encourage a one-hour appointment at the studio so we can make the most of things.
Absolutely, among other insurance policies we have public liability insurance for ten-million dollars.
Through various camera formats we always capture RAW files and when requested we can provide families with fully perfected and genuine high resolution JPEG files.
This will depend entirely upon how the shoot has been planned but for a one-hour portrait session one-hundred original and unique photographs are normally captured – remember the idea is always quality over quantity.
Generally yes, we do delete the odd image on the day where we may have tested the exposure in a difficult lighting environment or when a person has clearly blinked in the shot.
Yes. Every digital file/photograph we ever take is archived onto external hard-drives and these are stored both on and off site.
This is entirely up to you and will all depend on the package you decide to put together.

Unless special requests are made the turnaround time is one-week.
Once an album design is sent into production five to six-weeks depending upon the style of album you have chosen.
Once a frame design has been approved turnaround times will be approximately three weeks (subject to availability which you will be advised of at the time).
Simply complete our booking form and pay the agreed deposit.

In short, natural light or the imitation of natural light wherever possible. We use off camera flash and LED panels regularly and we also have a full studio lighting set-up that is completely mobile, ie: we can bring the studio to you.
