Hitched – Calista & Paul

With a few weddings still postponing as a result of CO-VID locking down the international borders, it has provided us the opportunity to celebrate and reflect upon those awesome weddings we got to be a part of just prior to the CO-VID lockdowns, yet haven’t found the the time to share with you here. So, with that being said/the case … here goes!

Calista & Paul … what a day! It started with a couple of tea ceremonies (one at the Star Casino and another on the lower north shore), before off we went to the wedding nuptials at St Andrews Cathedral. Throw in a few pics with the bride & groom before we were at the Golden Century for lunch, some speeches and loads of fun and smiles. We snapped a few more pics in the eastern suburbs before we wrapped up around 6pm. Not a bad day right! Top shelf fun all the way! Just the best of days! Calista & Paul & the crew made it so much fun, check it out!

Hitched – Stephen & Rosy

Wedding Photography

It doesn’t get much better than this! It was so cool to be here and celebrate these two family’s coming together, Rosy with her daughters and Stephen with his son and daughter – it was the best of days! Of course, blue skies, that view over Sydney harbour from Athol Hall, and one-hundred plus of their nearest and dearest guests (yes, it was pre-CO-VID times) also helped make this day so superb. Amongst my many lasting memories, sitting here typing away the brief time we spent witnessing Stephen + Rosy getting ready was truly original for us…. the looks on their children’s faces as they were helping Mum and Dad glam up was way cool! Throw into the mix the fact that Stephen + Rosy go so well in front of the camera, and well, this bloke was loving every moment of it! It was awesome moment after awesome moment to snap away at. Loved it, loved it, loved it!

Let Love Rule

To pinch a line from Lenny Kravitz, this is what happens when you ….. let love rule! Despite the current lockdown as a result of CO-VID19, Shirley + Ben went ahead and tied the knot last week and it was awesome! Yip, they’ve postponed the massive celebration and party for 12-months time, but last week they went “nop, we’re going ahead” and yours truly was able to photograph it (and double as an official witness on the marriage certificate). A massive thanks has gotta go to Carol Proven for hosting the event at her glamorous home down Cronulla way (and for taking on the celebrant duties of course). All things considered, just an incredible way to spent two-hours. Shirley + Ben let their love rule and were absolute naturals in front of the camera whilst tolerating my photographer catch cry of “just one more” with tremendous patience.

Love the smaller wedding mid-week thing, all the best places and people to yourself. Throw in a pictorial shoot before the ceremony, being able to focus on the bride & groom entirely (i.e. no bridal party), a funky sunset, a tear or seventeen along the way and you have the makings of a pretty top shelf afternoon and evening in my book.

Hitched – Natasha & Michael

July days don’t come much better for us than this one! Sure it was a little chilly but Tash & Michael are the coolest, most easy going couple (btw so is their dog Cudo – pictured several times below) and all up it made for the best day – not to mention wedding photography at Allegro always offers a wedding photographer that something special.

We started with the getting ready snaps in Kellyville before moving onto the Allegro Function Centre and staying put for the remainder of the day. Everything was perfect! Smiles everywhere you looked. Sun shining. Quality wedding gurus/suppliers all over the place, ie: Toni (celebrant) making sure everyone was sorted, Vov (music maestro) creating the perfect atmosphere, Glenn & Kay (owners of Allegro), one in the kitchen cooking up a storm and the other quietly helping in the background making sure everything is to Tash & Michael’s liking/plans – like I say, it was perfect.

Awesome couple, amazing venue, gorgeous flowers, first class celebrant, perfect weather, fun and laughter filled day – need I say more? Sitting here typing and uploading away it is hard to see how you make Caitlin and James’ wedding day any better. I mean sure, we all put together wedding days to our own likes and tastes but the end result is always the same isn’t it? We want to enjoy everything about a/our wedding? And that is certainly what I thought Caitlin & James did – not to mention I know I certainly enjoyed myself, it was a professional photographers dream scenario, it was perfect!

Check it out! My first wedding back in 2018, January 6 with Mel & Matt and it was #awesome! Briefly…… I photographed Mel’s sisters wedding 4-5 years back, we had a ceremony in Kellyville, pictorial shots of the bridal party in Mosman, the reception at Orso Bayside Restaurant at The Spit, we had clear blue skies, maybe a little too much wind and a fun, out going and great looking bridal party – I had been looking forward to this day for ages. I could go on forever but they reckon/say a picture speaks a thousand words so rather than me going on I’ll let the selection of 140+ images showcased here do all the talking on just how awesome this day was. Enjoy!

Hitched – Alyx & Pat

Just before Christmas I had the pleasure of photographing Alyx & Pat's nuptials at the Butchers Daughter in Crows Nest, Sydney. This awesome location has character all over the place (as you can see) and was the perfect spot for the 40-50 guests invited to share in Alyx & Pat's special day. The hidden lane ways, local buildings and streets provided...
