To pinch a line from Lenny Kravitz, this is what happens when you ….. let love rule! Despite the current lockdown as a result of CO-VID19, Shirley + Ben went ahead and tied the knot last week and it was awesome! Yip, they’ve postponed the massive celebration and party for 12-months time, but last week they went “nop, we’re going ahead” and yours truly was able to photograph it (and double as an official witness on the marriage certificate). A massive thanks has gotta go to Carol Proven for hosting the event at her glamorous home down Cronulla way (and for taking on the celebrant duties of course). All things considered, just an incredible way to spent two-hours. Shirley + Ben let their love rule and were absolute naturals in front of the camera whilst tolerating my photographer catch cry of “just one more” with tremendous patience.

When Gil + Bec first got in touch I said they had some unreal opportunities coming there way – don’t think I was wrong on that one. It was a bit of a whirl wind tour starting in Leura, before snapping our way through Katoomba and Blackheath and ending up in one of the Jenolan Caves for the wedding ceremony. Here is a quick glimpse of what went on/some of my favs from the pictorials with Gil + Bec – FYI we gave the 20+ guests a free pass while the three of us went crazy with all the stunning-ness the Blue Mountains and beyond have to offer. Enjoy!

Love the smaller wedding mid-week thing, all the best places and people to yourself. Throw in a pictorial shoot before the ceremony, being able to focus on the bride & groom entirely (i.e. no bridal party), a funky sunset, a tear or seventeen along the way and you have the makings of a pretty top shelf afternoon and evening in my book.

Another awesome day full of genuine firsts and just an super occasion to be a part of and witness. You know you are onto a winner when the dodgy looking weather holds off and neither Adam or Kim (aka bride & groom) fall off their jet ski into the Hawkesbury River #winwin Throw that into the mix of an amazing location at Wisemans Ferry, Sydney (shout out to Retreat At Wisemans and the fabulous Kath & Rachel & Co) and some top notch people (especially the loved up couple and their bridal party) and you have a pretty top shelf day I reckon.

At long last, here we have it. Deon & Christelle’s fabulous day in the sun at Bendooley Estate last October. We had been building towards this for a while, in that you meet people like this, find out their plans and where it is all taking place and that little voice inside you goes “WOO-HOO”, code can’t wait, bring it on. And everything went as expected, totally freakin’ awesome. Amazing weather came to play and everyone got stuck in to having the coolest time ever. In short, a wedding photographers dream scenario really.

When the bride keeps telling you one thing in the lead up to her wedding day and that one thing is “I just want the day to be fun” as a professional photographer you know you are in for a great day. Long story short…… Stefanie & Brad’s big day on the north shore of Sydney was all that and then some.

July days don’t come much better for us than this one! Sure it was a little chilly but Tash & Michael are the coolest, most easy going couple (btw so is their dog Cudo – pictured several times below) and all up it made for the best day – not to mention wedding photography at Allegro always offers a wedding photographer that something special.

We started with the getting ready snaps in Kellyville before moving onto the Allegro Function Centre and staying put for the remainder of the day. Everything was perfect! Smiles everywhere you looked. Sun shining. Quality wedding gurus/suppliers all over the place, ie: Toni (celebrant) making sure everyone was sorted, Vov (music maestro) creating the perfect atmosphere, Glenn & Kay (owners of Allegro), one in the kitchen cooking up a storm and the other quietly helping in the background making sure everything is to Tash & Michael’s liking/plans – like I say, it was perfect.
